Steps in a Strategic Marketing Process

1. Develop a mission, vision, and set objectives. Determine the type of business and foresee where it stands in a set period of time.
2. Gather information from the environment. Analysis of the information gathered is done by a summary of the situation.
3. Make a decision. Based on the information available the management decides on what direction to take, to proceed or to wait further.
4. Implement. After the decision is made, steps to undertake it are done.
